Approach

The Borderers is set on the Watton, which is a main road into Brecon. .

 

Parking
There is space to park 5 cars in the central courtyard, which is accessible through an arched entryway.

 

Approach to reception
The door to the reception area/door bell is just inside on the left of the entrance archway.

 

Entrance Hall
The entrance hall is carpeted. It is well lit with bright lighting.

Breakfast/Dining Room
The breakfast/Dining room is located on the ground floor next to the front door. This room has a wood effect floor. There are several tables to choose from, depending on the size of your party. There is a buffet area for cereals, preserves, butter and condiments. (Assistance can be given with the buffet on request). Hot meals are served at the table.

The Bedrooms


Bedrooms 1 to 4 are on the first floor, accessed from a flight of stairs. These stairs are carpeted in a speckled carpet in shades of brown and cream with a hand rail on the left side. As the building is very old, the steps are slightly uneven and the floor has a gentle slope to it. All rooms have remote controlled TV. All rooms have cordless kettles. All pillows and duvets are hypo-allergenic. Extra pillows and blankets are available in the cupboards, more are available upon request. A non slip shower mat is always available upon request. Contrasting low flush lever situated on the cistern. Toilet roll dispenser and flip lid bin are within easy reach of the toilet. The toilet has a soft close toilet seat lid. All towels are charcoal. Shower gel & shampoo dispensers are placed inside each bathroom.

 

Room 1
This is a light room, facing the street with a speckled carpet in shades of brown and cream. The bed is 4ft 6in wide. There is a wash hand basin in the room. The en-suite has light wood effect flooring. White bathroom suite. Pedestal wash hand basin, turn taps in contrasting colour. The Shower is 3 ft wide with a swing door.

 

Room 2

This is a light room, facing the street with a neutral carpet. It has two single twin beds. There is a wash hand basin in the room. The private bathroom across the hall is for the sole use of the occupants of room 3 and has light wood patterned laminate flooring. White bathroom suite. Pedestal wash hand basin, turn taps in contrasting colour. This bathroom only has a bath. Shower gel & shampoo dispenser are placed on the sides of the bath.

Room 3

This is a light room, facing the street with a speckled carpet in shades of brown and cream. The bed is 4ft 6in wide. There is a wash hand basin in the room. The en-suite has  grey tile flooring and a white bathroom suite. The Shower is 3 ft wide with a swing door.

Room 4

This is a light room, facing the central courtyard. It has a speckled carpet in shades of brown and cream. The bed is 4ft 6in wide. There is a wash hand basin in the room. The en-suite has  grey tile flooring and a white bathroom suite. The Shower is 3 ft wide with a bi fold door. Just outside the entrance to the room, there is a very shallow step.

Bedrooms 5, 6, 7 and 8 are situated around the courtyard on the ground floor.

Room 5

This is a light room, facing the central courtyard. It has a speckled carpet in shades of brown and cream. It is a family room containing a superking bed and a single bed.The en-suite has  grey tile flooring and a white bathroom suite. The power shower is 5ftx3ft with a sliding door and hand rail. There is a heated towel rail mounted on the wall by the wash basin.

Room 6

This is a light room, facing the central courtyard. It has a speckled carpet in shades of brown and cream. It is a twin room containing two single beds.The en-suite has  grey tile flooring and a white bathroom suite. The 3ft shower has a swing door.

Room 7

This is a light room, facing the central courtyard. Access is up a flight of narrow stairs, painted in red non-slip paint, with aluminium and black rubber nosing. There is a hand rail on the right. The room has a speckled carpet in shades of brown and cream. It has a 5ft king bed.The en-suite has  light tile flooring and a rainforest shower. The bathroom suite is white.

Room 8

This is a light room, facing the central courtyard. The floor is grey tile. It is a king bed room consisting of a 5ft king bed. The accessible en-suite has  grey non slip wet room flooring. The shower has a handrail, the raised toilet and lowered sink do not.The bathroom suite is white.

Cabin

This room faces the central courtyard. It has a speckled carpet in shades of brown and cream. It has a 4ft 6in bed.The en-suite has grey flooring and a white bathroom suite. The 3ft shower has a shower curtain.

​

Other Information
Ceiling mounted audible smoke detectors are placed in each room. Because of the age of the building and the situation of the rooms, the borderers is not suitable for wheelchair users.

​

We are happy to assist with luggage – where possible.

Our Website
We believe that it is important to make our website accessible to everyone. With this in mind we are working hard to improve the website for people of all abilities.

We aim to ensure the availability of “alt text”, a simple and clear approach to online layout and improved colour contrast. We have also facilitated the use of different browsers in a number of ways including the removal of frames from the site.
