1. ALL CARD DETAILS ARE HELD SECURELY. We require credit/debit card details to pre authorise and secure your reservation. Should you cancel your booking on the date of arrival or fail to take up your reservation without letting us know: a charge will be made against your card for the full amount of your booking. If you are delayed in arriving or expect to arrive before 4 pm or after 7pm, please do let us know as soon as you are able. A charge of £25 per room will be made unless agreed upon beforehand.

2. Should it become necessary for you to cancel your reservation with less than 7 days notice, we shall of course make every effort to re-let your accommodation. We regret that there can be no allowance for curtailment of a reservation. We STRONGLY recommend that you take out Travel/Holiday cancellation insurance to cover you in such circumstances. Please remember your reservation is a binding contract under British Law. Should it become necessary for you to cancel your reservation - Please let us know as soon as possible. (On the rare occasion we take a deposit, 10% admin fee will apply to any refunds)

3. Should you wish to change the date of your reservation within the cancellation period, the new dates will be treated as a new stand-alone booking and the cancellation charge for the original booking will still apply if we cannot re-let the room/rooms on the dates originally booked.

4. A minimum stay over a number of days implies the same occupant/occupants for the period of the booking, so different guests each day will not be permitted.

5. If the person making the reservation is different to the person(s) taking up occupation, the person who makes the reservation may be held responsible for non arrival/damage or loss and monies may be taken from their credit/debit card.

6. Please note – that in the event of an upgrade, no further offers or discounts apply.

7. Accidents happen. Please let us know IMMEDIATELY of any damage or spillage, however caused, so that we can clean or repair. Failure to inform us WILL result in a charge being made against you for damage subsequently found.

8. It is against the Law to Smoke at The Borderers Guesthouse. If a guest/visitor is found smoking or, is asked to leave; for whatever reason, full payment for the reservation will be charged and taken from the credit/debit card. Should it be subsequently found that a guest/visitor has smoked in a room after it has been vacated a charge will be made against the debit/credit card for full and thorough cleaning of the room and for any loss incurred to the business by our having to cancel or turn away bookings whilst the room/accommodation is thoroughly cleaned.

9. ALL offers are valid only on weeknights (from Sunday to Thursday) unless otherwise specified.

10. NO refunds are issued for matters that could have been solved had we been advised of them during your stay. This includes but is not limited to, temperature in the room being too cold or too hot, changing the date of departure after arrival or reducing the length of stay during or within the 7 days preceding the date of arrival.

11. All injuries that occur on the premises, must be reported to a member of staff and the accident book must be filled in before departure of the injured party.

1. Please respect our other guests and dress appropriately for breakfast. NO inappropriate clothing such as, Boxer shorts, bathrobes/dressing gowns, nighties, pyjamas, or bare chests. Thank you.​
